The Hong Kong Performing Artist Guild two nights ago had an internal storm with its presidential election. Previous committee member Astrid Chan Chi Ching refused to permit Anthony Wong Chau Sun to apply for instant membership and run for the presidency, finally leading the meeting to be adjourned as Chau Sun went off on Chan Chi Ching. Chan Chi Ching yesterday pleaded online with Chau Sun to spare her and stressed that the process treated everyone the same. Eric Tsang Chi Wai said that it was a minor misunderstanding and would personally intervene.

Chan Chi Ching yesterday morning explained her stance online. "The Hong Kong Performing Artist Guild from December 20 has already reminded Wong Chau Sun's secretary and assistant that his cabinet will have to become members first. This Guild also has email and written records! As for some artists not knowing that they have to go through application, inspection and nomination before they can be nominated, they can get an understanding of the process and the facts with the Secretary Office. Such demands exist for existing members and will treat future additions the same way. My position needs to have such persistence because this is the duty of the Executive Secretary!"

Then she again left a message for Chau Sun, "I have always enjoyed watching Wong Chau Sun's acting very much. For his fainting and nausea performance yesterday outside the PAG, after watching the video I thought it was too cute! However please spare a little woman like me, I too have had a very difficult time already during the days without a president. I would only ask for forms on behalf of the committee, why make things harder for us?"

Currently in Taiwan, Tsang Chi Wai said that Chau Sun's criticism of the PAG was only a minor misunderstanding. Once he will return to Hong Kong he will immediately intervene. "Wong Chau Sun first asked me, he wanted to bring people to join. I said no problem, just bring the people on the day of the meeting; who knew only that on that day we realized that according to the Guild charter, the application was needed two days in advance. The Guild thus decided to first adjourn the meeting and to convene again when everyone will be available. The misunderstanding was only due to the lack of familiarity to the process."

Susan Shaw Yam Yam continued to fire off rounds in support of Chau Sun. "The Performing Artist Guild's Executive Secretary is (Willie) Chan Chi Keung. The Performing Artist Guild's location is a Tsang Chi Wai purchase and welcomes all members. As far as I know, someone is opposed to Chau Sun and against his presidential run because he is the most likely to win. This is only my thought. Since Tsang Chi Wai agrees that this incident that drove out all of the actors was correct, since he bought the property I have no right to comment. To me, this sends chills to the heart, but I still choose to respect Tsang Chi Wai's decision." She again said, "Where is justice in the world, evil is in reign!" "There is no fairness, only whoever has money has power."
