Chinese films follow up the strong momentum from the Lunar New Year slot in April with the "Strongest in the Universe" Donnie Yen Chi Tan starred THE ICEMAN 3D (BING FUNG HUP 3D CHUNG SUN ji MOON) and Best Actor Nick Cheung Ka Fai's THAT DEMON WITHIN (MOR GAING) to battle foreign 3D animation RIO 2, Japanese film KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE live people edition and Korea's HOT YOUNG BLOODS during Easter.
The Yen Chi Tan starred THE MONKEY KING (SAI YAU GEI ji DAI LAU TIN GUNG) and the Best Actor Cheung Ka Fai starred GOLDEN CHICKEN SSS (GUM GAI SSS) during the Lunar New Year performed well at the box office and left foreign films in their dust. Both film industry hot properties will strike again during Easter as Yen Chi Tan's THE ICEMAN 3D will face Cheung Ka Fai's THAT DEMON WITHIN. The former added 3D effects to a story about an ancient ice man whom was dug out in the New Territories. He ran into Xiao Mei and they gradually fell for each other while at the same time they looked for a time orb that could change history and clear his name. In THAT DEMON WITHIN the dutiful cop Wong Wai Yip became obsessed due to the robber Hon Kong and even risked taking himself down with Hon Kong.
