Famous Taiwan actor and Golden Horse Award winning Best Actor Chen Sung-young earlier participated in many famous films. He even had many scenes with Chow Yun Fat in PRISON ON FIRE II. Earlier he was hospitalized due to illness. Yesterday he passed away at age 80.
Chen Sung-young started in the business in 1970. In 1989 he participated in the Hou Hsiao-Hsien directed CITY OF SADNESS and received the Golden Horse Award Best Actor. In 2006 he was hospitalized for a stroke, since then his health has deteriorated.
