In 2023 Dayo Wong Tze Wah and director Jack Ng Wai Lun collaborated on the film A GUILTY CONSCIENCE (DUK SIT DAI JONG) to collect more than HK$ 115 million at the box office, ranking second among Chinese films at the Hong Kong box office and winning the Best Film at the 42nd Hong Kong Film Awards. A few days ago, director Ng Wai Lun was rumored to have started filming A GUILTY CONSCIENCE 2. Then the official social platform of A GUILTY CONSCIENCE issued a denial, pointing out that Edko Films and Ng Wai Lun currently had no plans to start filming A GUILTY CONSCIENCE 2.

A week later, Edko Films announced yesterday that director Ng Wai Lun will cooperate with Wong Tze Wah again. The new film will invite actress Sammi Cheng Sau Man to play the female lead. Edko Films said, "Thank you for your interest in Edko Films' new film productions. Today (yesterday) we can finally announce that Edko Films is planning to start filming a director Ng Wai Lun directed, Wong Tze Wah and Cheng Sau Man starred comedy film. Movie fans, see you at the cinema!" Wong Tze Wah reposted the post on social platforms.

Director Ng Wai Lun shared what was suspected to be the dialogue from the film. "Brother Foon: Numbers? Which numbers are you talking about? The numbers in the books or the number in your fortune? Sister V: All men in the world can be killed, of course it is better for you than for me to die. Prosperous royal road vs doomsday domineering, stay tuned." People speculated online that Wong Tze Wah and Cheng Sau Man would play "Brother Foon" and "Sister V" respectively.

Wong Tze Wah and Cheng Sau Man once co-starred in the movie TEMPORARY FAMILY (SUT LUEN GUP YEUNG), in which Wong Tze Wah made a cameo appearance as Cheng Sau Man's ex-husband. In 2016 Cheng Sau Man invited Wong Tze Wah to be a guest at her concert, and the latter joked on stage at the time that he has only seen Cheng Sau Man for one day. After everyone said hello, they talked about books. Wong Tze Wah said, "Let everyone meet the other side of Cheng Sau Man. On the day I met her, she asked me if I have read the 19th century great Russian writer Dostoevsky's novel CRIME AND PUNISHMENT. Then she said "I don't get it". After that I didn't want to pay her any mind, because I haven't read it. The conversation ended like that, and the relationship was over."
