The 71-year-old Chiang Wing Fat (Mars) in a media interview a few days ago bluntly said that he was humiliated when he served as a stunt coordinator for Jackie Chan. He recalled that during the filming of DRUNKEN MASTER II, he fell from a high place due to a broken wire, but Jackie Chan laughed at him for being "unresponsive like a turtle". He shot a total of 21 shots before completing the scene, and the next day he sought medical attention due to severe pain in his lower back. Finally he needed to undergo surgery immediately and recuperate for 3 years. DRUNKEN MASTER II was directed by the late martial arts master and famous director Lau Kar Leung, Mary Jean Reimer (Yung Jing Jing) talked about Mars' remarks during a live broadcast on her online channel yesterday (14th). She said that her ex-husband Lau Kar Leung was originally the only director of the film, but in the end because of a scene, Jackie Chan was also listed as one of the directors. Yung Jing Jing said that Lau Kar Leung himself designed one of the scenes personally, in which he wielded a long staff and fought with Jackie Chan under the train. At that time when this idea was proposed, everyone thought it was difficult to implement because the space under the train was extremely narrow. In addition the use of a long staff made it very difficult to shoot. However Lau Kar Leung firmly stated "I can do it", and Jackie Chan also responded, "Then you give it a try". Finally the scene was successfully completed, the result was extremely excellent and impressive.
