Without an appearance in Hong Kong for a long time, Liu Wai Hung and Wong Yat Shan attended the charity premiere of an immersive play yesterday with Yeung Yuk Mui, Lau Shek Yin and others; two elders who witnessed the most glorious era of Hong Kong's entertainment industry share their views on the current sluggish film and television market and their attitude towards life.

Returning to Hong Kong to support the event, Liu Wai Hung revealed that he often works in different places. Currently he is running a restaurant and agricultural business in Malaysia. Recently he has also been selling mooncakes in Hong Kong. He also humbly pointed out that the business has been acceptable, but lamented that the operation has not been easy. When asked how to deal with the adverse market, he admitted that life and environment have ups and downs; you should not be too complacent when you are at the peak, and you should not be discouraged when you are at a low point. You should maintain a normal mind. As for whether he intended to return to the screen, he admitted that although he has many performance invitations. However he did not want to be distracted and preferred to focus on his current career to prevent achieve nothing at all. He said that he was still some distance from success and was still on the road to success. He believed that once he met the status quo, he would stagnate. Speaking of the Hong Kong film market, Liu Wai Hung said bluntly, "Hong Kong films are not sluggish, but facing elimination. The changing times, technological progress and the development of artificial intelligence (AI) have made the career prospects of actors uncertain. In the future live action performance may no longer be necessary, perhaps an individual image could be created with AI. In addition now many viewers have been watching movies on their phones."

Away from performing in Hong Kong for a long time, Wong Yat Shan admitted that this time he agreed to participate in the play right away because of the invitation of his mentor Lai Man Cheuk. He was grateful to him for his guidance when he first joined TVB and did not understand anything. Having settled in the mainland for a long time, he revealed that he is currently engaged in the foot spa business and participating in the filming of short dramas. He was grateful that although he was old he still had job opportunities, but he did not want to be too busy. "In 2015, I made online movies, and now short videos are popular. The workload is too much, I can't handle it." Has Stephen Chow Sing Chi invited him to be act? He said no, and said that he has experienced the glory of Hong Kong cinema and participated in online movies. He was satisfied. However he will also participate in stage performances, and joked that he will come out to relax. He was very happy to turn work into a hobby. Regarding the downturn in the Hong Kong film market, he believed that today too many entertainment choices are available, most people only look at mobile phones. Few people would sit down and watch TV, so film and television were no longer mainstream entertainment and the TV industry was also facing difficulties. This trend would also be difficult to change.
