The Best Actor Louis Koo Tin Lok starred "urban legend" movie BACK TO THE PAST (CHUM CHUN GEI) would be officially launched on New Year's Eve, and the cast and the crew have been busy promoting it. Recently the film's schedule in Hong Kong has been said to be "tighter than the bus schedules". On the first day of its release in the mainland, the number of shows has exceeded 18,000. Currently the advanced screen box office has been a success, giving the team a shot of confidence.

Koo Tin Lok has been traveling between the mainland and Hong Kong for work recently, and appeared in Shenzhen the day before yesterday. As a ribbon-cutting guest for a Cantonese restaurant, he attracted a large number of passers-by. Dressed in all black, he caused screams as soon as he appeared. Goo Jai also waved politely and was very friendly to the people. Goo Jai has invested in the restaurant business as well. When speaking on stage, he expressed his feelings, "I really like to eat Cantonese food, because it feels warm and like home. The most important thing about Cantonese cuisine is to have the wok smell! Running a restaurant now is not easy at all, it depends on persistence and trying."

When the host asked him what he has been doing recently, Goo Jai replied jokingly, "I've been busy cutting ribbons." Actually he was about to start a promotional tour in the mainland, leading the BACK TO THE PAST cast and crew to visit Guangzhou and Foshan and other places. Lead actress Suen Huen also posted a photo with "Son" Chu Kam Yin, revealing that she was leaving for Beijing. Artists under Goo Jai's banner also "assisted". Among them, Fish Liew Chi Yu, Zoe Yu Kit Ying and Bryant Mak Chi Lok even made a video based on the "ultimate villain" of the television drama version 25 years ago, Kong Wah, to help build momentum.

At present mainland audiences have a very positive response to this HK$350 million film production, with box office pre-sales reaching 120 million yuan (about HK$133 million). The "number of people who want to see" on several movie networks has exceeded 200,000 in a single day, and topped the platform popularity list. About 18,180 shows scheduled on the opening day in the mainland, the film has been very amazing. As for the pre-sale in Hong Kong that started as early as Christmas Eve, screenshots of a Tsim Sha Tsui Cinema schedule were leaked on the Internet, from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. the next day every 15 minutes would have BACK TO THE PAST opening, and more than 50 screenings in a single day. No wonder the poster described the scheduling as "tighter than the buses at the bus stop downstairs" and pointed out how exaggerated it has been.
