A GUILTY CONSCIENCE (DUK SIT DAI JONG) director Jack Ng Wai Lun led its original cast members Dayo Wong Tze Wah, Louise Wong Dan Nei, Renci Yeung Sze Wing, Dee Ho Kai Wah and Gardner Tse Kwan Ho, and added Sammi Cheng Sau Man, COLLAR member Sumling Li and Mandy Tam Man Huen to cook up the Year of the Horse Lunar New Year film NIGHT KING (YEH WONG). The location switched from the courtroom to the glamorous Hong Kong night club of the past in an acting and appearance battle. Wong Tze Wah and Cheng Sau Man after 11 years collaborated again as a divorced couple, yesterday the NIGHT KING actors were unveiled for the first time. Ng Wai Lun revealed that the opportunity for making NIGHT KING came from when he was asked whether he would make a sequel at A GUILTY CONSCIENCE's box office celebration, he declined on the spot. Seeing all the beautiful actresses on hand though, he saw an idea flashed in his mind. He then blurred out that if he would make a movie it would be about a night club. Everyone went into an uproar as soon as they heard the words "night club". The Year of the Horse Lunar New Year film would also include the Philip Yung Tsz Kwong directed, Edan Lui Cheuk On and Chung Suet Ying starred GUM DOR BO.

In the middle of this year Wong Tze Wah nd Cheng Sau Man have been rumored to star in the Ng Wai Lun directed new film, but the confidentiality were done to its maximum on the project. It has only been revealed that it would be a comedy. Last night NIGHT KING's poster and teaser were released. Aside from A GUILTY CONSCIENCE's Wong Tze Wah, Wong Dan Nei, Liew Chi Yu, Yeung Sze Wing, Ho Kai Wah and Tse Kwan Ho, Cheng Sau Man, COLLAR member Sumling Li and Mandy Tam Man Huen joined the cast.

Director Ng Wai Lun explained how NIGHT KING came about. "It happened at A GUILTY CONSCIENCE appreciation banquet. At the time when the cast were high from drinking, Renci suddenly asked if I would make A GUILTY CONSCIENCE 2? I immediately answered no, I no longer wanted to make such a serious subject again. Then I saw everyone at the banquet with so many beauties there, my mind suddenly saw a flash as I blurred out if I would make a movie it would be about a night club! As soon as I said 'night club', everyone immediately went into an uproar and raised their hands in agreement." He said that he had another reason in choosing the subject of night club. "I like to go. In the 80s and 90s East TST was drowning in wine and neon lights, then after 2000 China City closed. In 2012 Club BBOSS and Club Paris also closed, as all the glory became the past. With the decline of the East TST, people who made a living in East TST night spots faced an uncertain future but had no way of going back. How should they react? This is the second reason of making NIGHT KING. The story of East TST back then has a kind of wonderful resonance with Hong Kong now."

Wong Tze Wah and Cheng Sau Man played a divorced couple in the 2014 film TEMPORARY FAMILY (SUT LUEN GUP YEUNG) but did not have many scenes together. They reunited in NIGHT KING and again played a divorced couple. Taking place in 2012, East TST night club manager Brother Foon has a strong team. Mamasan Coco is the best of the best. Liew Chi Yu plays a mamasan who has a way with the clients, under her are the "cherry lips" Sumling Li, drinking game expert Tam Man Huen and sex goddess Yeung Sze Wing; the clients include tycoon Tse Kwan Ho and stock broker Ho Kai Wah.

The once glorious night club is bought out. New CEO is Brother Foon's former wife Sister V. In order to save the club, Brother Foon and Sister V team up and swear to make a final comeback with the ladies and stand firm in East TST.

In addition to NIGHT KING, the Philip Yung Tsz Kwong directed, MIRROR member Edan Lui Cheuk On, Golden Horse Awards Best Actress Chung Suet Ying and Elaine Jin (Kam Yin Ling) starred GUM DOR BO with guest stars Michael Hui Koon Man and Nina Paw Hee Ching has also been scheduled for a Lunar New Year release. Wrapping up production in November, Yung Tsz Kwong said that he put up half the production budget as he shot while looking for investors. He revealed that the story was related to his late Grandma, who played the same lottery numbers for a long time. When he wrote the script he saw Grandma in the dream.
