Known as "Sei Gor", Patrick Tse Yin passed away from pneumonia on the 16th of this month at the age of 89. His family decided to follow the will to quietly deal with the aftermath. A simple ceremony and cremation have been carried out four days after Tse Yin's passing, and the news of the death was announced later. Tse Yin's favorite "former daughter in law" Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi rapidly arranged for his eldest grandson Lucas to return to Hong Kong to perform filial piety when he was seriously ill.

Having been in the entertainment business for 70 years, "Sei Gor" Tse Yin's health has deteriorated in recent years. Tse Yin only admitted to interacting with five women in his life, and had love and honor for each old flame. When his first wife Chen Chen learned that Tse Yin's passing, she was picking up someone at the Hong Kong airport. When she heard the news she cried until her voice was hoarse. She praised Tse Yin for valuing love and loyalty his whole life, and did what he said he would. Looking back at the past, she lamented, "He was so good to me, take such good care of me, and he was my first love. For the rest of my life I would leave an important place for him in my heart." Chen Chen revealed that they met for the last time in 2021. Because Tse Yin was in poor health in his later years and needed a wheelchair, his memory was somewhat vague. At that time the two divorced because of misunderstandings, Chen Chen once admitted that he was the love of her life. In 2019 Tse Yin made a surprise appearance at Chen Chen's retrospective exhibition, and staged the icebreaker of the century. He even confessed to her, "I still love you now, still waiting for you to come back." He also serenaded Chen Chen with THE MOON REPRESENTS MY HEART. Some online dug up a video clip of the day, in which the two danced with the music.

The 82 year old Asia Film Festival Best Actor Chiang Pin in the 1970's starred in the film FANTASIES BEHIND THE PEARLY CERTAIN (YUT LIM YAU MUNG) with Tse Yin, Chen Chen, and Charlie Chin. Yesterday he responded to Taiwan media, saying that after learning about Tse Yin's passing he sent a text message to Chen Chen. "Two nemeses of your life (Tse Yin, Steven Liu) have passed away one after nother. The variety of taste only would you yourself would know." Chiang Pin said that he watched Tse Yin passionately pursued Chen Chen. Whether on or off the set Tse Yin would be there everyday.

In addition Tse Yin's last girlfriend, CoCo, a model 49 years his junior, once revealed that during their relationship she owed a huge debt due to investment losses. Tse Yin immediately sold the nearly HK$ 5 million luxury cars that was a gift from his son to cover her debt. As for the rumor that Tse Yin gave HK$ 20 million as a break-up fee, CoCo said, "The so-called break-up fee, I didn't care about."

'Sei Gor" Tse Yin's passing has left many in the business in mourning. Having collaborated with him countless times during the Cantonese film era, Bowie Wu Fung has not picked up the phone the day before. Since then she has always called him "Sei Gor Daddy". Later Wong Jing invited the two to play the couple, but Fung Bo Bo was unable to get into the role.
