[2012.03.19] EMPEROR MAKES NICHOLAS TSE A FIREFIGHTER

Emperor Motion Pictures yesterday announced its 2012 film projects and will invest almost 100 million on the firefighter film SUT JUNG GAU WOON YING HUNG (SPECIAL RESCUE SQUAD HERO, tentatively title).  Best Actor Nicholas Tse Ting Fung will star and personally challenge dangerous scenes in the fire and explosions.  The Ting Fung and Lau Ching Wan starred SIU SUT DIK JI DAN (VANISHING BULLET) will also be released this year.

Since LIFELINE (SUP MAN FOR GUP) over 10 years ago, Hong Kong rarely made big film productions about firefighters.  Emperor Motion pictures and GALLANTS' Hong Kong Film Award winning Best Director Derek Kwo Chi Kin will work together on DUT JUNG GAU WOON YING HUNG.  Currently confirmed is Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and it will be his first firefighter film.  The film will have many fire and explosive scenes, Ting Fung who has always been braver than anyone will personally perform the stunts.  Kwok Chi Kin earlier spent more than half a year on research in hopes of breaking out similar stories' framework and show the most realistic side of firefighters.

THE FOUNDING OF A REPUBLIC and BEGINNING OF THE GREAT REVIVAL  Mainland director Huang Jianxin's son Huang Lei will direct his first film ANGRY KID, his father will produce.  Emperor Motion Pictures will also have many releases tihs year, including Lu Chuan's THE LAST SUPPER (WONG DIK SING YIN) with Liu Ye, Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) and Chang Chen; the Heiward Mak Hei Yan directed, Chapman To Man Jat produced, Joey Yung Cho Yi and Mag Lam Yun Tung starred DIVA has been tentatively scheduled for a summer release; the William Chan Wai Ting, Michelle Wai (Si Nga) and Irene Wan Bik Ha starred mob film TRIAD (JAT JIK) is still in production.

At the same time, Emperor at the Filmart used a green design and made from recycled material, environmentally friendly with unique style.
