The film A SIMPLE LIFE (TOH JEH) not only brought five Best Actress awards to Deanie Ip Tak Han but also headed toward 20 million at the box office.  The film company two nights ago held a celebration.  Leads Andy Lau Tak Wa and Sister Deanie attended.  Sister Deanie even wore almost 3 million worth of sponsored jewelry and stated that she would drink two spoonful of brandy to celebrate.  Other attending actors included Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Queenie Chu Wai Man, Elena Kong Mei Yi, Eva Lai Yin San, Tam Bing Man and Leung Tin.

Since the film was heading toward 20 million at the box office, Wa Jai would no longer lose money.  Sister Deanie admitted that she was very happy and also said that Hong Kong people actually like Hong Kong films, but action films are more popular.  Now A SIMPLE LIFE is popular she felt very grateful.  She believed that because everyone has been starving for this type of movie for too long and proven that Wa Jai's investment vision was right.  As for the rumored prequel, Sister Deanie said great then said, "The prequel is about the young Sister Peach, people are OK with me playing older.  Playing younger would be gross, better off finding someone else!"  She felt that she should quit while she was ahead.  She truly did not understand business and making money, so she would not add her opinion.  Did she celebrate her "Asian Best Actress" victory?  She said, "That night I already ate vegetable to celebrate because Wa Jai taught me not to have starch at night.  The next day during media interviews I had half a piece of dark chocolate and Napoleon, they were beautiful.  (Are you confident about winning a sixth Best Actress Award?)  Even odds, I am at peace with it!"  Was the jewelry her own?  She joked, "Stolen."  Later she said that where would she have so much money for jewelry, a friend thought that if she dressed up with another jewelry for accessory she would look shabby.  Even though she was used to being shabby, since someone sponsored her she would try to wear them as much as she could.  Normally she would be very simple and rarely wore jewelry.  Will her next celebration be for becoming a god grandmother?  She joked, "Wa Jai doesn't like it, don't talk about it."

Wa Jai was very happy and even pointed out that everyone loved Hong Kong film very much.  The media and the critics helped the film a lot and enabled them to comfortably find cinemas for its release.  Everyone cooperated very well and was a positive force in recent years.  Will it strengthen his confidence in investing?  He said that even if it did not make money his state of mind would not change.  He said, "No matter how things develop, they have to have direction.  Direction is very important."  Wa Jai also said that he never thought about making a prequel and would not use director Ann Hui On Wa to make even more money.  However now she indeed could easily find investors and he would discover other directors.  Speaking of Kelly Chen Wai Lam becoming a mother again, Wa Jai said that he already congratulated her and was very happy for her.  Has he prepared to rest to keep her pregnant wife company?  He only said, "OK!  Everything has already been arranged.  I am very calm."  Was it because they have not reached the final stage of pregnancy yet?  He shook his hand and said, "OK!  OK!"
