Nick Cheung Ka Fai shone in the 2013 Hong Kong film industry. Yesterday the Hong Kong Box Office Limited (Hong Kong Motion Picture Industry Association and the Hong Kong Theatres Association subsidiary) announced last year's top ten Chinese and foreign film box office. Two Nick Cheung Ka Fai films UNBEATABLE (GIK JIN) and THE WHITE STORM (SO DUK) were the top two highest grossing Hong Kong films. UNBEATABLE was on top with over HK$44.63 million. IRON MAN 3 led the foreign film box office with over HK$106 million. In 2013 the total box office was over HK$1.6 billion, 4.24% more than 2012.

Cheung Ka Fai's two films UNBEATABLE and THE WHITE STORM were the top two films at the Hong Kong film box office. In first place UNBEATABLE had HK$44,631,344, in second place THE WHITE so far accumulated HK$30,299,024; in third place was Stephen Chow Sing Chi's film JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING THE DEMONS (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN) with HK$28,401,227; in fourth was the Andy Lau Tak Wa invested and starred FIRESTORM (FUNG BO), which so far accumulated HK$21,737,836; in fifth was the Tony Leung Chiu Wai starred THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI) with HK$21,292,885.

On top of the foreign film box office was IRON MAN 3 with HK$106,389,801; in second was MONSTERS UNIVERSITY with HK$77,407,664; in third was WORLD WAR Z with HK$42,602,911; in fourth was THOR 2: THE DARK WORLD with HK$36,675,250, in fifth was MAN OF STEEL with HK$33,328,214.

In 2013 the Hong Kong total box office reached HK$1,625,331,294, when compared to 2012's HK$1,559,237,866 it increased by 4.24%. As for film release numbers, 42 Hong Kong films were released in 2013, 10 less than in 2012; 268 foreign films were released, 19 more than in 2012.
