Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) promoted the film that he produced and starred in, CONTROL, with director Kenneth Bi (But Kwok Chi). But Kwok Chi said that Daniel was a 100 point producer. Aside from his generosity, he followed the production for 3 years from the beginning to the end. Daniel also admitted that he reduced his salary for the film. He said, "This time I gave a discount on both salaries. I wanted to save more resources for the production."
Daniel praised co-stars Leon Dai and Simon Yam Tat Wa for their masculine charm and also appreciated the lead actress Yao Chen very much. He joked, "I am the most afraid of flower vase, I hate pretending to be cute the most. She is a mature woman, Weibo queen, she would talk about news, society, and not just dream of stardom. She can also play comedy roles." However he did not tell his wife Lisa S. in advance about his intimate scene with Yao Chen. Daniel said, "When Lisa models she gets intimate with male models too. This is a part of our jobs. She is only afraid of me playing fight scenes. When she watched OVERHEARD 2 (SIT TING FUNG WON 2) she cried, but I was obviously sitting next to her."
Daniel's character this time took another beating. Was he more careful after having a family? He said, "The film shoots are very safe and I rarely get hurt. In the film people hit me until I was beyond recognition, which was all special effect make up that had 9 layers. Only in one chase scene, the motorcycle could not brake in time and almost hit me."
Daniel admitted that real life was simple. He rarely ran into any threat. Now only his daughter "controls" his heart. He said, "Work used to come first, then family and friends. Now I feel I have to protect my daughter, work isn't as important. In addition I have made over 50 films before, I am already very satisfied. However if I miss a child growing up I will never get it back. So I have to fight for time to build family bond. I will rest until June before I return to film."
