The new film ONCE UPON A TIME IN SHANGHAI (NGOK JIN)'s actors Andy Tien (On Chi Kit), Philip Ng Won Lung, and Michelle Hu Yan earlier accepted an interview and talked about the experience. Ng Won Lung said that he and his friend Andy had many martial art fight scenes in the film. He was even hospitalized twice and got dizzy from taking a kick to his head from Andy. Philip said, "At the time I was dizzy, action director Yuen Woo Ping didn't know and even said that my reaction was great and real. He even asked why I didn't keep acting?" He said that he and Andy were like brothers on and off camera, thus during their fights they stated no holding back. He even said that after Andy kicked him Andy did not comfort him and was chuckling immediately.
As for working with Yuen Woo Ping, On Chi Kit praised him as humorous and very demanding. He said, "The last time we worked together on the film TRUE LEGEND (SO HAK YI), at the time I worked for eight days in a row and caught pneumonia. Philip this time in ONCE also caught pneumonia after a few days." Ng Won Lung joked On Chi Kit got sick because every time he worked he had to display his muscles and could not wear clothes.
