Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Simon Yam Tat Wa, William Chan Wai Ting, Deep Ng Ho Hong, Michelle Wai Si Nga, Alice Luo Shi and others promoted their new film AS THE LIGHT GOES OUT (GAU FOR YING HUNG) in the Mainland. Everyone shared with the audience their production experience. Ting Fung who has not appeared in Guangzhou for a long time pointed out that he was very happy to see everyone and won enthusiastic applause. The film has been in release for less than a week and already made over HK$10 million in Hong Kong.

Brother Wa and Luo Shi promoted the film in Wuhan. They even tried the famous Hubei dish roasted barley tea for luck. They also attended audience appreciation events at cinemas. One woman was a fireman's widow. When she talked about her late husband on the job, Luo Shi was moved to tears.

Ting Fung, Chan Wai Ting, Ng Ho Hong, Wai Si Ngan and others went to Guangzhou. When Ting Fung was asked whether the production was very tough, he said, "Actually making a firefighter film is just as tough as making a kung fu film. This time the characters don't just directly put out the fire as before, I played a firefighter with a past. During the shoot I almost broke my arms and legs amid the danger, but I am very happy to be able to play this character. (Was this film very hard to play?) I didn't feel it was hard, the director understood me very well. In addition the children didn't watch this movie, so they wouldn't feel very scared. I was OK, instead Yam Tat Wa was a little injured."

Ting Fung also revealed that the film's post production was only 3 months long but had over 1,800 shots. In particular the shoot environment had a lot of smoke, no one was certain which one was live smoke and which one was post production. Thus he truly thought it was decent. As for Ting Fung not personally performing the theme song, he did not want to sing a sad song in a natural disaster scene. Thus he chose to work with the group 24 Herbs. What would Ting Fung be willing to make a sacrifice for? He pointed out family, friend, love, but talking about it now was not real enough, he would have to experience it first to know.
