The Hong Kong Film Directors Guild reaches its 25 anniversary. Tonight its annual dinner and award presentation will take place, with Best Actresses like Sylvia Chang (Cheung Ngai Ga), Kara Wai Ying Hung, Shu Qi and many directors as guest presenters. Singers Fiona Sit Hoi Kei and Stephanie Cheng Yung will be guest performers. Directors Andrew Lau Wai Keung, Stephen Fung Tak Lun and others will form a band Kindergarten and perform many film songs to show their other talent. Zhou Xun who originally was a guest presenter would not be able to attend due to work.
In addition, this year the Directors Guild dinner will be star studded. International film star Zhang Ziyi will attend. Reportedly with the Director Guild president Derek Yee Tung Sing's term coming to an end, Wong Kar Wai would likely take over. Thus Wong Kar Wai's favorite Tony Leung Chiu Wai will show his support as well.
