Always known as "Taiwan's cutest boyfriend", Jasper Liu most recently worked with Stephy Tan Lai Yan on the new film AS IT BURNS (BAK SAU YU FUN). Before the production began they did not know each other at all, as soon as the production began they had to perform a bitter romance between love and hate. Jasper Liu did a lot of homework, before hand got an understanding of the character's own special quality with the director. He also surveyed the character's life environment. Speaking of their first meeting, he stated that Stephy felt distant. "Because her eyes were a bit sharp, when she looked over, sometimes I would feel scared!" However after getting along, he discovered that Stephy was extreme approachable. He even said that he received "special care". "Stephy knew I didn't understand Cantonese too well, so she often played translator." He even said that he learned something rather odd in Cantonese, "Who do you think you are?"
Jasper Liu said that this time he performed in a Hong Kong suspense film, next time he would like to participate in a police action film. "I can get into shape if I hve to, actually earlier I had a chance to take part in an action film. At the time in preparation of the performance I worked out like crazy everyday. I trained with (Sammo) Hung Kam Bo's son (Jimmy) Hung Tin Cheung. He got very big, unfortunately the film due to the pandemic was scrapped."
