The film A CHINESE GHOST STORY (SIN NUI YAU WON) yesterday held a production start ceremony in Beijing. Actors Louis Koo Tin Lok, Liu Yifei, Yu Shaoqun and director Wilson Yip Wai Shun attended. This time two different generation of THE GIANT EAGLE AND ITS COMPANION (SUN DIU HUP NUI) stars Goo Jai and Liu Yifei worked together for the first time. Naturally they became the focus and stole the spotlight from Yu Shaoqun who played Ning Choi Sun. No wonder he jealously said, "I became the third party between Yeung Gor and Dragon Maiden!"
Playing the female ghost Siu Sin, Liu Yifei felt that she was very similar to the "previous Siu Sin" Joey Wang Cho Yin. "Even I feel the resemblance is close, which drastically increases my confident!" As the "ghost catching priest" Yin Chet Ha, Goo Jai in the film often had to look vicious and shake off his handsome image. Director Yip Wai Shun clarified that he had no intention of remaking the old version, as he would make the new film an Eastern fantasy film that would be full of romantic colors.
