Cheng Dongqing is a country boy from a farming village; Meng Xiaojun is an intellectual elite; Wang Yang is a romantic poet. A trio of three extremes, they are tied together by an American dream. They apply for visas but only two get them. Cheng Dongqing returns disappointed and can only remain in the university to teach, but he is fired for privately tutoring; Meng Xiaojun thinks that he can succeed in America but can only work as a busboy; Wang Yang falls for an American girl and gives up on leaving home.
Cheng Dongqing has nothing and can only secretly teach in a fast food shop. As the number of his students grows, he invites Wang Yang to join him. Then Meng Xiaojung returns home to join them and "New Dream" school is officially founded. The trio with charm and unique teaching methods has unprecedented success with the school. Cheng Dongqing is shaped into a teacher who has studied overseas, from a country bumpkin to a leader and much to the envy of Meng Xiaojun. As the misunderstanding grows between them, Wang Yang is stuck in the middle...
