Tony Leung Chiu Wai was unable to win the Golden Horse Best Actor award with THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI), but his acting and film contributions were beyond any doubt. CineAsia 2013 yesterday announced that it will present its Outstanding Actor Award to Wai Jai on December 12 at the Convention Center.

The event's co-managing director Robert H. Sunshine said that he was very honored to present the Outstanding Actor Award to Leung Chiu Wai to honor his excellent performance and achievement. His performance in THE GRANDMASTERS was awe inspiring; Wai Jai's acting has always received good reviews and great performance at the box office. Among his generation of actors in Hong Kong his achievement has been the most glorious.

Wai Jai said that he worked with Wong Kar Wai for the 7th time on THE GRANDMASTERS. Wong Kar Wai's demands were very strict and he never had a confirmed script. He often gave him many challenges and enabled him to be even deeper in character. He really liked this time of honing. Wai jai through his management company Jet Tone said that he was very honored and happy to receive the award and he is checking his schedule to attend the presentation.
