The Hong Kong Film Box Office Co. Ltd. yesterday announced the 2014 summer box office of the past two months. In the top six were all Hollywood films. In first place was TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, which shot on location in Hong Kong. In the summer alone it has made over HK$ 54 million and accumulated almost 100 million. DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APE, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, LUCY, INTO THE STORM and HOW TO TRAINING YOUR DRAGON 2 followed.
The highest grossing Chinese film was the seventh place CAFE. WAITING. LOVE. After only half a month in release it has already made over 14 million. The strongest Hong Kong film was TEMPORARY FAMILY (SUT LUEN GO GUP), which only came in eighth place with over 13 million.
