The Best Actor Nicholas Tse Ting Fung starred Emperor Motion Picture BUT ALWAYS (YUT SUN YUT SAI) after six days in release in the Mainland made 130 million yuan RMB and set three new records! Reportedly Ting Fung's salary kept rising and now has reached 20 million yuan RMB, but he still got love from film companies and plenty of market. Reportedly he had over 20 scripts on hand to choose from.

Best Actor Tse Ting Fung and top Mainland actress Gao Yuanyuan starred Emperor romance BUT ALWAYS became the highest grossing Mid Autumn Festival Chinese film, almost doubling last year's Mid Autumn Festival champion's take. It was also the highest grossing film that starred Ting Fung as the only lead actor, while it broke Gao Yuanyuan's personal first week box office record of 42 million RMB with the film CAUGHT IN THE WEB. BUT after 7 days of release made over HK$4 million in Hong Kong.

Reportedly, Ting Fung did not mind giving a "discount" to make BUT. Obviously money was not the only motivation for him. Reportedly Ting Fung's next film would be the Wilson Yip Wai Shun directed film with Taiwan hunk Ethan Juan (Yuen King Tin). Top Korean star Song Hye-Kyo was in negotiation to be the lead actress.
