Stephen Chow Sing Chi's new film MERMAID earlier held a recruitment and selected the final 13, including 4 Hong Kong representatives like Linah Matsuoka, "Inch Mouth Barbie" Ha Wai Yu, Rainky Wai Yu Yui and Kabby Hui Nga Ting. They had to accept talent training before the elimination round. The special training camp began yesterday at a Shenzhen hotel. The "Mermaids" gathered around the pool in the morning to show off their figures in their own swimsuits. Ha Wai Yu was the oldest at age 29 but also was the bustiest. She was in fighting shape and showed confidence.

They had to learn to swim like a mermaid. Wai Yu Yui said that they could not use their arms, only hips and legs. Their body had to merge with the water like a swimming fish and appeared to be limber. The three hour lesson was very tough. Linah Matsuoka also intended on winning. In order to get a chance to work with Sing Yeh she said that she would not mind shaving her head; the ladies all said that they were willing to make the sacrifice for art.

Reportedly yesterday the mermaid special training not only demanded being able to swim in the water but also drama and dance training. Next week four will be chosen from the elimination round, only one will win in the end.

The group of "mermaids" gave their all to get in the graces of Sing Yeh and become "Sing Girls". Lately Chow Sing Chi has been in trouble with Mrs. Heung. Reportedly Sing Yeh has not been affected as he concentrated on the MERMAID preparation. He also paid attention to the talent special training progress.
