THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED (YUT LO YAU NEI) tomorrow will be released in the Mainland. Two days ago a press conference was held in Beijing. It happened to be producer Derek Yee Tung Sing's birthday. Director Derek Chiu Sung Kei, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Karen Mok Man Wai, and Huang Yi secretly prepared a birthday cake, which was quite a pleasant surprise for him.

Ten years ago, Koo Tin Lok worked with Chiu Sung Kei on SEALED WITH A KISS (TIM YIN MUK YU). Ten years later, they worked together on THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED. Chiu Sung Kei said, "When Goo Jai worked on my movie, he still wasn't famous. Now he is already completely different, but his personality is just as good." He also praised Mok Man Wai's
performance as intimate and natural, which made Mok Man Wai a little emotional. Huang Yi hoped that everyone would be able to see a different Huang Yi.

Goo Jai took a gang beating in the film. Fake blood got into his eye but he still insisted on waiting until the director yelled cut before washing his eyes. He was very professional. He recalled, "In that scene a group of thugs beat me up very severely, I had a head full of rather deep wounds so a lot of blood was used. One of the make up between the temple and the cheek was closer to the eye so the more I moved the more blood got into my eye. The blood was not only irritating but also hurt so much that I could hardly open my eye. That eye at the time could not see anything at all, I could only rely on one eye to see everything around me." When asked why he did not stop the shoot to wash his eye. Goo Jai joked, "I was afraid that the second take would be the same, I might as well make this take well. I didn't want to suffer one more time."

Koo Tin Lok became a new generation film king. From the beginning of 2011 to the Lunar New Year slot he starred in many films like the upcoming THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED and the later MR. AND MRS. INCREDIBLES and ALL'S WELL ENDS WELLS 2011 (JUI KEUNG HEI SI).

In ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2011, Goo Jai changed his image to play a sissy make up artist and team up with Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi to grab the Lunar New Year box office. Actually they have already worked together six times so they got along well. In the film Goo Jai played make up artist Shum Mei who could not help himself but fall for assistant Cheung Pak Chi. Playing a sissy this time, Goo Jai thought it was quite refreshing. In addition Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing and Leon Lai Ming also played similar characters, it was a challenge from an actor to play a diva so it was very interesting. Goo Jai hoped to play a mental patient next time because playing more in depth characters was good for him.
