The Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor Gordon Lam Ka Tung early yesterday morning while working on his new film was injured in an accident and needed an ambulance to take him to the hospital. Reportedly, when he carried a child and ran in one scene, he tripped and fell. Due to the location was filled with gravels and rocks on the ground, when Ka Tung fell he fell hard and left damages all over. His condition was rather severe and he could not move at the time.

Lam Ka Tung and Taiwan hunk Eddie Peng Yu-yan worked together on a new film that was shooting a large scale location shoot in Ching Yi. Early yesterday morning many gun fight scenes were shot. In one scene Ka Tung had to carry a child and run. At the location a set that resembled a ruin was constructed, thus it was filled with rocks and steel rods. The ground was uneven. When Ka Tung ran perhaps he tripped on a rock, lost his balance and fell straight to the ground. In order to protect the child in his arms, when he fell he turned hard and made the fall even harder. After he fell he was injured in multiple areas. The staff immediately tried to help him up, but he could not move at all. The condition was severe. The team immediately called an ambulance to rush him to the hospital. After treatment he has recovered mobility but still needed to stay at the hospital for further testing.

Yesterday early morning aside from director Kwan Chi Yiu and action director Chin Kar Lok, also on hand were actors Peng Yu-Yan and Tam Sin Yin. Everyone was very worried about Ka Tung's condition, but due to the extremely expensive rent on the Ching Yi location, the requirement to "hand over" the location on a scheduled date, and the issue of actor schedules, the team needed to continue the shoot. Actually since the film started production to now, nothing has gone right. Because someone on the team tested positive and the production was halted for 7 days. Earlier Tam Sin Yin during the shoot also got hurt. Despite all the hardship, the entire team fortunately remained united and met the difficulties head on.

Yam Tat Wa said, "These few days I haven't been on the set, so I am not too sure."

According to the Hong Kong Police, yesterday early morning they received a call. Someone had an accident in Ching Yi and was injured, requiring an ambulance to transport him to the hospital but no police assistance. When the injured arrived at the hospital he was conscious. Ka Tung yesterday still had to remain at the hospital for treatments and examinations.
