In Andy Lau Tak Wa's film SHAOLIN (SUN SIU LUM JI) he had a fight scene with Wu Jing. Wu Jing in the film played an elder and quickly learned the Seven Star Fist to teach a group of disciples. Although he only studied for two days, the monks all praised him as looking convincing. Before the shoot began, he personally experienced life in the Shaolin Temple. He ran into a minor accident and luckily he received help from Shaolin Temple monks. Wu Jing said, "The Shaolin Temple kept a large group of wandering dogs. Perhaps I was a stranger and they bit me. Luckily, monks passed by and drove them away to save my life."
Wu Jing might not have any luck with dogs but he was lucky with the child star who played Lau Tak Wa's daughter. He accidentally injured his leg during the fight scene with Wa Jai. She immediately rushed over and consoled Wu Jing, which made him forget about his own pain to comfort her. Then she treated him like a little nurse. He joked, "When you grow up, 10 years from now, would you like Brother Wu Jing to marry you?" She nodded and said, "Great!"
