The Fan Bingbing, Huang Xiaoming, Wang Yuejun starred, Huang Jianxin produced WHITE HAIRED WITCH OF LUNAR KINGDOM originally was scheduled for an April release. Now it has been postponed to the Double Seventh Festival.
Because of how fierce the April film competition is and a direct confrontation with producer Huang Jianxin's other film THE ICEMAN 3D (3D BING FUNG HUP: CHUNG SUN JI MOON), film company boss Yu Dong came out and made a decision after discussions with Huang Jianxin. Yu Dong intended to release THE WHITE HAIRED WITCH OF LUNAR KINGDOM on Double Seventh Festival for this fantasy romance to display its magic on the holiday. Due to scheduling issues, Bingbing and Xiaoming both agreed and even said that they would fully coordinate with the film promotion. They hoped to be able to spend a romantic Double Seventh Festival on the big screen with viewers.
