Simon Yam Tat Wa and Kelly Fu Ka Lei yesterday promoted the new film THE ICEMAN (3D BING FUNG HUP: CHUNG SUN JI MOON). Brother Wa said that originally he planned to show off his real kung fu in the film, but he was only arranged to carry a gun and not permitted to fight. He stated that his talent was wasted. He pointed out that perhaps overseas viewers liked to see him with a gun. After almost 200 films they still want him to carry a gun, which he joked was good too as he was able to extend his performance life.

He and Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin recently worked together on a film. He praised Ah Sa as an obedient, hard working and very talented actress. In the future if he will have a chance to direct he will ask Ah Sa to be his lead actress. He said, "I don't feel Hong Kong actresses have a generation gap, no one can just walk out and be pretty. Many have a lot of substance." Two nights ago he attended Jackie Chan's birthday party, which he said was fun and cheerful. There was food and a concert. He could not help but set a date with Jackie Chan to play again at the next 60th; Brother Wa also revealed Jacky Cheung Hok Yau hog the microphone all night. The birthday boy in the end was drunk.
