Juno Mak Chun Lung's directing debut RIGOR MORTIS (GEUNG SI) not only won at the Hong Kong box office and word of mouth but also caught the attention of the international film scene. It will be released later in the U.S., Germany and Japan. About RIGOR's success, Juno said, "From participating in the Venice Film Festival to the nine Hong Kong Film Award nominations, I am already very satisfied."
As for the 33rd Hong Kong Film Award New Director nomination, Juno said that he would treat it normally. "I am confidence, last year had 14 new directors. I am very honored to be one of three Hong Kong Film Award nominees this year, but the others are very outstanding new directors. I can't ignore their strength." Juno said that he was more confident about Anthony Chan Yau and Nina Paw Hee Ching's Best Supporting Actor and Best Actress chances.
