Yesterday in Hong Kong LET THE BULLETS FLY also opened in first place.
Director Lam said, "Of course I am happy about the award, even rarer is the recognition from fellow directors from three lands on both sides of the strait. I am even more excited." In addition, STOOL PIGEON's Nick Cheung Ka Fai who received the Most Popular Actor at the Guangdong Hong Kong Macau Youth Film Event was elated. When asked whether he was confident about winning the award, he joked, "I am 100% confident, but the award is beyond my grasp. As long as I have done all I can then it's fine."
LET THE BULLETS FLY opened in Hong Kong at the top of the box office. Jiang Wen also received a Youth Film nomination. Jiang Wen was joyful about the nomination. "I truly am very happy to receive the jury support. Since young people of all three places like it, they prove that
good movies have more territorial restriction." Ge You also said, "The nomination proved that film no longer had borders. When everyone was constantly afraid that no one would understand Mainland film, this represented the culture of two places being drawn closer. Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland student quality has also been drastically elevated."
