Located in Sai Wan Ho, the Hong Kong Film Archive has been in operation for 10 years. Last night a celebration was held. Department of Leisure and Cultural Service Fung Ching Suk Yi, famous director Johnnie To Kei Fung, Sylvia Chang (Cheung Ngai Ga) and many local film
professionals attended. To and Chang were the guest hosts.

Having donated many awards to the Archive for display, To Sir hoped that schools could be able to introduce Hong Kong films to elementary and secondary school students and become a common curriculum. To Sir even pointed out that he could donate everything to the Film
Archive. Cheung Ngai Ga said that now she is working on a commemorative short film for next year's Golden Horse Award. She said, "This year 20 Taiwan directors would make a 5 minute short film each for a 100 minute total."

She also said that To Kei Fung was interested in adapting the play DESIGN FOR LIVING into a film. As the original creator and stage actor Sister Chang said that she was busy writing the script. She too had intention to work with Joseph Cheng Yuen Cheung again in the film. However, To Sir responded that it would be hard for the DESIGN film version to start work this year. He said, "Because the idea was mainly a musical and Hong Kong had fewer films of this type, I believe it won't be finished in a year or two." To Sir said that he did not know whether the original cast will appear, but he hoped Sister Chang would be able to participate. He also said that few in Hong Kong could sing and dance. Would he ask Sammi Cheng Sau Man to participate? He replied, "You haG*k0to ask Cheung Ngai Ga!"
