[2011.01.16] DANTE LAM RECEIVES 200 MILLION FOR HIS NEW FILM

Emperor Motion Pictures LET THE BULLETS FLY was a hit in Hong Kong and the Mainland, and the Dante Lam Chiu Yin directed STOOL PIGEON (SIN YUN) again won an award. Two nights ago Emperor boss Albert Yeung Sau Sing held a celebration and said that Lam Chiu Yin will have a HK$200 million budget. Director Lam said that Mr. Yeung was a film tycoon.

LET opened on top of the Hong Kong box office and reached 660 million RMB at the Mainland box office and likely would become the highest grossing Mainland film in history. Meanwhile, Emperor film STOOL PIGEON director Lam Chiu Yin at the 11th Strait Bi-Coastal film director forum won the Best Hong Kong and Taiwan director of the Year. Nick Cheung Ka Fai also won the Most Popular Actor and the Most Popular with Guangdong, Hong Kong Macau youth excellent actor" with STOOL PIGEON. Yeung Sau Sing celebrated with Lam Chiu Yin and Cheung Ka Fai two nights ago.

Ka Fai said that he was 1/5 confident about winning an award. Lam Chiu Yin said that at the celebration he would drink Ka Fai under the table. Yeung Sau Sing gave Lam Chiu Yin a 200 million budget for his new film YIK JIN (REVERSE WAR) with Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun) and negotiating for Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho), Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and Louis Koo Tin Lok to star. Lam Chiu Yin said, "I have to talk with Mr. Yeung again about the actor. All three of them are very busy. I have to make certain of their schedules first." The film planned to shoot in Vietnam, Thailand, Jordan and other locations. The originally set Australian location due to the flood was cancelled and had to be adjusted in the script.

Mr. Yeung said, "I am very positive about Hong Kong economy and film industry so I am investing heavily. The next few weeks I have to celebrate every week."
