Ding Dong (now Doraemon)'s TVB veteran voice actor Lam Po Chuen earlier passed away. His daughter Lam Chi Kwan yesterday with TVB executive Elaine Lok Yi Ling and Tsang Sing Ming held a press conference at Television City to announce the funeral details. Uncle Po Chuen's wake will take place on the 30th at the Universal Funeral Parlor with the funeral taking place the next day when his remains will be sent to the Diamond Hill Crematorium. The funeral will be a Buddhist ceremony and will have a public wake for people to pay their final respect. During During the period the hall will play Unlce Po Chuen's life and work highlight. TVB even produced 10,000 memorial programs that included a video with the characters that Lam Po Chuen provided his voices to in DORAEMON, CAPTAIN TSUBASA, CHIBI MARUKO CHAN, CHINESE IDIOMS, THE BRONZE TEETH, DAEJANG GEUM and NEIGHBORHOOD TREASURES series. Lam Chi Kwan said that her father worked as a voice actor for over 30 years and brought a lot of joy to the people of Hong Kong. Thus she hoped that no one would be too sadden when they pay their respect, because her father hoped to see everyone happy. Otherwise her father would feel all of his hard work would have been for nothing. If anyone missed Lam Po Chuen, they should learn from Ding Dong, be a good person and help people. Lam Chi Kwan also smiled until the press conference ended, then she could not help but break down in tears.
