Johnnie To Kei Fung, Lau Ching Wan, Gao Yuanyuan, Alan Mak Siu Fai, Dante Lam Chiu Yin, Felix Chong Man Keung and others yesterday attended a Fresh Wave 2010 -- International Short Film Festival press conference. At the event Ah To expressed that Fresh Wave provides young people who want to work in film a platform to study, create, exhibit and exchange. He has supported the event for years. Yesterday attending directors would also share their experience with participants. Ah To said, "In the past many participants ended up joining the industry, so this event could be considered a way for new comers to join the business. Hopefully the film industry can find talent from it."

Lately Ah To has been busy with LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE (DUET MING GUM) and DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI). He honestly said that they might not be completed this year so they would not make the Venice Film Festival. LIFE lead actor Lau Ching Wan heard what the director said could only helplessly laughed. "I don't dare to yell at him for going slow because I am already used to it." As for HEART's Gao Gyuanyuan, she
expressed that after a slow exploration she was already used to Ah To's production progress and said that although At To was very demanding he never yelled at her. Has the slow production progress affected her other jobs? She said that she was able to work on both films at the same time, but she felt that focusing on one film was rather enjoyable. Would she not work with Ah To again? She honestly said that if he asked again she definitely would agree.
