The Ann Hui On Wa directed film TOH JEH (PEACH SISTER) was based on a real story and starred Andy Lau Tak Wa and Deanie Yip Tak Han. After more than ten years they worked together again, but this time they played an employer employee relationship without any tear jerking or melodrama. The story would be purely simple, real and light. The film has not yet been released and already Wa Jai was considered a Best Actor favorite. Yet Wa Jai honestly said that he did not deliberately think about that and even humbly said that he was only a supporting actor. The real lead was "Toh Jeh".

TOH JEH two nights ago shot in a Sai Kung house and arranged for a media visit. Wa Jai and Sister Deanie both attended, but because she did not have to work that day Sister Deanie was not in the "Toh Jeh" costume. Wa Jai said that the last time he worked with Sister Deanie was PRINCE CHARMING (HAK MA WONG JI), in which they played mother and son. This time Sister Deanie played his maid. Wa Jai said that he personally hired maids but they were not Chinese. Was he afraid that his privacy would be exposed? He said, "No, suspicion is useless. If they want to talk about me I can't do anything about that." Speaking of working with Sister Deanie, he pointed out that their chemistry remained because privately they stayed in contact. Wa Jai pointed out that this film was based on a real story. He met with his character Roger and chatted. He honestly said that he has not made an authentic Hong Kong film or a Hong Kong street scene in a long time.

Earlier he worked on a mini bus, the driver asked whether he has not ridden a mini bus in a long time. Wa Jai said that the last time was already 1997. At the time he had to rush to a Hand Over show but his vehicle did not arrive in time, so he took the mini bus across the harbor. He also pointed out that this story was very gentle, had no tear jerking element but would be very touching. Some said that he would have a chance to receive a Best Actor nomination, Wa Jai pointed out that the story was primary about "Toh Jeh" and he was only a supporting actor. He said, "If everyone thought that I couldn't do anything about that, I never thought about that. However if everyone thought that, they could think like that." Did he still pay attention to nominations? He said, "It's not about paying attention, I just don't think about it." Speaking of this year's Hong Kong Film Awards, Wa Jai said that everyone was a friend so he did not who to choose. He also joked that he could not be on the jury because he would help friends.

Sister Deanie said that her character "Toh Jeh" was 70 something, the look in the film would be older than reality. She pointed out that "Toh Jeh" was a "Sit Year Girl" type maid. She used to have one at home. These workers did not have too much protection. Some older ones had to pay for their own medical treatment. Now the foreign maids have many more protections.
