The Nick Cheung Ka Fai, Louis Koo Tin Lok and Lau Ching Wan starred, Benny Chan Muk Sing directed new film THE CARTEL WAR (BIN YIK) is heating up in production recently. Two nights ago around 7:30PM, Cheung Ka Fai stepped into a Causeway Bay building with a lot of restaurants. Around midnight he along with Goo Jai, Ching Wan and Chan Muk Sing stepped out. They were laughing and joking. Ka Fai joked, "Here really is pretty busy!" He turned around and saw the reporter's camera, which surprised him. Then he turned into a goodwill ambassador and grabbed everyone for a group photo.
Were they dining after work? Ka Fai said, "Right. (How's the new film?) Great!" After bidding each other farewell they scattered. Ching Wan gave the director a ride while Ka Fai walked to his car. Fans surrounded him and asked for a group photo.
Cheung Ka Fai and Esther Kwan Wing Ho wed in Australia in 2003 and their daughter Brittany will soon turn 7, but they have never held a wedding banquet. The latest rumor was that Ka Fai will hold a make up banquet in April or May, but Ka Fai denied that. "No such thing, how can that be possible. Right now I am working on THE CARTEL WAR and MOR GAING (DEMON COP), later I still have HEUNG GONG JAI (HONG KONG GUY) and an Emperor film. I am scheduled until the end of the year. Where will I get the time to do this."
Earlier while working on the film they had an accident. In one scene Goo Jai struggled with Chin Wan. At first Goo Jai held back. After several times the director was still not satisfied, so he pushed hard. Ching Wan immediately fell and his head hit the floor. Everyone was stunned. Luckily after an examination his injury was no big deal, but Goo Jai still felt rather guilty. Producer Alvin Lam Siu Keung admitted that the accident was caught on film but was secretive about whether it will be shown later.
