Veteran cinematographer Ko Chiu Lam (Sergeant) earlier while working on the Aaron Kwok Fu Sing starred film THE ETERNAL WAVE in Shanghai was injured on an accident. At the time Sergeant was sitting on a crane 20 foot in the air when a prop car crashed into a prop house. After the house collapsed it brought the crane down with it. Sergeant fell and his head hit the ground. He was rushed to the hospital.
Sergeant earlier worked on Wong Kar Wai's THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI) and on the Hong Kong Television series NIGHT SHIFT. Benji Chiang Man Kit several days ago worked on the film in Shanghai. "From the latest news, Sergeant is doing very well. Because he has minor fractures in his head and eye, he has to remain under observation for a few more days. For now he doesn't need surgery." He also shared the news from Sergeant's wife on facebook. Mrs. Ko said that Sergeant was very lucky as his injury did not deteriorate. He will return to Hong Kong for treatment. He only had 7 stitches on his forehead and had no internal bleeding.
