SHAOLIN will open on January 27. In it Nicholas Tse Ting Fung played a villain for the first time. Not only was he the evil incarnate, but even Andy Lau Tak Wa and Fan Bingbing who was like a sister to him was tortured beyond recognition in the film. To make the evil feel more excessively, Ting Fung "set up" Bingbing and made her struggle for life. In the face Ting Fung did not hold back with Bingbing at all. He even added to Bingbing's torture scenes: pulling her hair, locking up her in an animal cage, dragging her across the floor, drowning her, and

even grossly licked her face. However Bingbing did not complain at all as she completely accepted the torture scenes that Ting Fung "cooked up" for her.

Ting Fung had nothing left to say about Bingbing. "Since working with Bingbing in THE PROUD TWINS (JUET DOI SEUNG GIU) to now, we have known each other for over a decade. We had chemistry in our acting from a long time ago." Bingbing left herself at the mercy of Ting Fung. In one scene Ting Fung almost drowned her in a fish tank. On the day of the shoot, the temperature was near freezing. Although the team has already prepared warm water for her, she still was shivering. She had to submerge in the tank completely and played reaction to Ting Fung almost drowning her. Thus the team prepared an air tube in the fish tank for her to

breathe with. Unfortunately Ting Fung was too in character. During the shoot he held Bingbing in the water and did not let go, exceeding the original rehearsal time. The team did not see Bingbing emerged from the water and panicked, Bingbing then finally raised her head from the water. Actually Bingbing and Ting Fung communicated earlier. She thought that during rehearsal the time was too short so she decided to stay in the water a little longer. However their good intention ended up scaring everyone.

Later Bingbing was still full of confidence in Ting Fung and said, "Ting Fung and I have worked together many times, I trust me a lot." Ting Fung not only did not show mercy to Bingbing, he did not spare Wa Jai either. In the film he not only taunted Wa Jai but also personally

slapped Wa Jai. For realism, Wa Jai told him to relax and slap him. Ting Fung followed Wa Jai's order and did not hold back. Unfortunately the director thought Ting Fung was not vicious enough and wanted him to slap him again. Wa Jai truly suffered this time. Ting Fung later said
