The 2015 Spring Festival box office from the Lunar New Year's Eve to the Lunar 3rd (February 19 to 21) made HK$ 62,065,966, a rise of 21.4% from last year's 51,140,730.

This year the Spring Festival had ten film releases. Among them the Japanese 3D animation STAND BY ME: DORAEMON performed the best. As of the Lunar 4th on the 22nd, its cumulative box office reached 22,996,743; in second place and the Hong Kong film box office champion was TRIUMPH IN THE SKIES (CHUNG SEUNG WON SIU), with a cumulative box office of 16,223,939. The film's six lead actors were very happy. "Cool Demon" Julian Cheung Chi Lam suggested when the Hong Kong box office exceeded 30 million, they should hold a pool party to celebrate. He said, "In the film Goo Jai and I both have scenes in the water, only Sammi (Cheng Sau Man) and Sam Gor (Francis Ng Chun Yu) haven't been in the water. Of course we have to drag them in. I wish (for the box office) to reach 50 million!" Chun Yu joked, "Do you watch to see us in the water? Wait for the sequel!" Ah Sheh was rather in character when she told the film's airline CEO boyfriend Louis Koo Tin Lok to take her to see the Northern Lights. "If he doesn't have time to go with me that's not important, I can ask my Mommy to take his place. I hope to get lucky then."

FROM VEGAS TO MACAU 2 made 14,137,007 and 12 GOLDEN DUCKS made 13,984,865 in third and fourth place. FROM 2 also performed very well in the Mainland, over 4 days it made over 265 million. At the same time on the Lunar 4th it became the single day box office champion with 71 million RMB, conceivably it would have no difficulty with surpassing the 520 million box office of FROM VEGAS TO MACAU last year. To celebrate the success the film will hold a celebration on March 1st. FROM 2's final scene had Andy Lau Tak Wa returning to the role of "Dagger" to reunite with Chow Yun Fat and Nick Cheung Ka Fai's God of Gamblers as the ending, bringing back collective memory for film viewers.

Fat Gor and Carina Lau Ka Ling yesterday took a hike on a famous Hong Kong "Dragon's Back", they even curiously took the minibus, took a selfie and posted it online. Later Ka Ling posted, "On a hike with Fat Gor, enjoying the beautiful scenery, sharing life, savoring cheap yet pretty authentic cuisine. I am so happy that I can fly." Fat Gor last night replied, "Selfie God On the Road."

Yesterday the Hong Kong Box Office Co. Ltd. announced the New Spring slot box office results. 12 GOLDEN DUCKS (12 GUM NGAP) came in fourth, over 4 days it made 9,278,322 and accumulated 13,984,865. In fifth place was PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR, in sixth place AN INSPECTOR CALLS (FAU WA YIN0, in seventh place SHAUN THE SHEEP and in eighth place was AMAZING PLEASANT GOAT.

Although 12 GOLDEN DUCKS came in fourth, its momentum remained strong. Currently overseas, Ng Kwan Yu was very confident about the box office. After returning to Hong Kong she will begin the second round of promotion and personally attend audience appreciation events to thank the audience.
