ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY is in release now. The film has invited Donnie Yen Chi Tan to play the spiritual and skilled warrior monk Chirrut Imwe, which the Hong Kong audience looked forward to. Chi Tan came from a music background, since childhood he has studied piano playing with his father. To promote ROGUE ONE, he even played the Jam Hsiao performed Chinese theme song.

This musical performance again showed Chi Tan's musical talent. After receiving the sheet music, even though it was only two days before the music video shoot he still made time to play at the hotel until he was familiar with the song. The crew was surprised to find that he was not only known around the world for kung fu but his musical ability was just as great.

Speaking of new films, the Ding Sheng directed, Jackie Chan starred RAILROAD TIGER after six days in release its Mainland box office has already passed 300 million yuan. With the New Year holiday on the way, it would likely perform even better.

The Sammi Cheng Sau Man and Joseph Chang starred romantic comedy LOVE CONTRACTUALLY (HUP YEUK NAM NUI) will open on Valentine's Day 2017. In the trailer, Joseph Chang kept taking off his clothes to show off his muscles and shared a kiss with Cheng Sau Man. In the film Chang Hsiao-Chuan and Cheng Sau Man signed a surrogate parent contract that led to the comedy. They went to shoot on location in France. In the film they had many intimate scenes. Although they worked together for the first time, they had no gap at all as they were completely submerged into the romantic atmosphere. Chang Hsiao-Chuan felt embarrassed during this topless scenes because he was performing alone. He had to take off his clothes and dance with everyone watching; a dance scene with Chang Hsiao-Chuan and Cheng Sau Man made him very nervous. Because he was not a great dancer, during the shoot his palms kept sweating.

Reprising his role of "little man" Leung Foon, Lawrence Cheng Tan Shui in the Lunar New Year film YUPPIA FANTASIA 3 (SIU NAM YUN JAU GEI 3 ji NG GA YAU HEI) had a relationship with sex goddess Chrissie Chau Sau Na. They not only shared a bubble bath but also had intimate scenes. They shared a peck and Sister Na slipped off half her robe on the bed.

Currently on vacation in Europe, Sister Na said that the intimate scene was rather important. The crew was very nervous. Ah Tan told jokes to ease the tension. The bubble bath looked comfortable but Sister Na said that it was not as enjoyable as it looked. "The water temperature had to be high. We sweat as we shot. Yesterday was the 13th anniversary of Anita Mui Yim Fong's passing. Mui fans as usual held memorial events. Fans first went to pay their respect at Shang Shin Chun Tong. Then they went to present incense sticks at her altar on Lamma Island. Some went to the Avenue of Stars to bow to the Sister Mui statue. At night a memorial event took place at Central.

Around noon, fans gradually arrived to pay their respect at Shang Shin Chun Tong. They brought Sister Mui's favorite food like sashimi, custard tart, milk tea, egg sandwich, cola, snacks and flowers. Fans also sent floral arrangements to express how much they still missed her after 13 years.

Sister Mui's international fan club president Ms. So and former manager Marianne Wong Man Wai went to Shang Shin Chun Tong to pay their respect. Ms. So said, "Every year's memorial events have been pretty much the same, they wouldn't be too special. Most fans have already gone to pay their respect on Lamma Island. I will rush over since Sister Mui's ashes are there; then I will go to Central to attend the memorial event." Last year Sister Mui's altar location was unveiled. Ms. So was not worried that a huge crowd would show up there. Has she contacted Mother Mui? Ms. So said, "Many fans often visited Mother Mui and had tea with her. As far as I know, they all took great care of Mother Mui."

Hong Kong's Christmas total box office was HK$ 32,524,704, a decline of 26.39% from last year's HK$ 44,182,612.

According to the Hong Kong Box Office Co. Ltd., the three day Christmas slot's highest grossing film was the Donnie Yen Chi Tan starred ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY with HK$ 7,467,539; in second place was PASSENGER with HK$ 6,392,548; in third was the animated film SING with HK$ 5,838,168. The Stephy Tang Lai Yun starred Hong Kong film L FOR LOVE L FOR LIES TOO (SUT LUEN YUT) made HK$ 2,852,252 in fifth place. ROGUE ONE since its December 15th release accumulated HK$ 33,341,212 over 27 days. L FOR LOVE from December 22nd to 27th (still in release) accumulated HK$ 4,954,487.

The film yesterday released its latest trailer. In the trailer, the quartet of master and disciples fought with and cheered up each other. The Wu Yifan played Tang Monk and the Lin Gengxin played Sun Wukong even slept right next to each other. Tang Monk even took advantage from behind as he kissed Sun Wukong's golden head band and ambiguously said, "Hold me tight, don't leave. Did you mss me." The Bateer played Sand Monk fan the flamed, urged Wukong not to hold back and just kill Tang Monk! The Yang Yiwei played Piggy reminded them. "Don't forget Master still has the Buddha's Palm." Sun Wukong stated that he wanted to break Tang Monk's arm. Tang Monk overheard everything when he passed by and whipped Sun Wukong out of rage.

Sun Wukong in the trailer appeared for the first time in special effect monkey make up. He seemed to be extremely upset with Tang Monk and on the verge of exploding. In the previous trailer, Sing Yeh and Tsui Hark "fought" over the film's special effects. At the end of this trailer, Sing Yeh and Tsui Hark again made a surprise appearance. Sing Yeh ran to Tsui Hark's office and excitedly said, "This monkey's special effect, it's......great! I really appreciate it, I cannot be any prouder!" Tsui Hark replied, "That one was a real monkey, since it's not special effect it has......no special effect. I have said it so many times! What? Do you have something to say?" Sing Yeh immediately "collapsed" and said that he was "a little dizzy". Tsui Hark kept comforting Sing Yeh, "If you are dizzy just go out and rest, don't drink so much, don't going out so much, don't go to bed so late, don't mess around all the time, be more mature, don't just stand there, go to rest go to rest!" Sing Yeh stood outside the office with his head in his hands, helpless.

The "face off" posters that were released with the trailer were also very interesting. Sing Yeh and Tsui Hark were transformed into martial art masters in the ring. Sing Yeh's Tai Chi pose was extremely similar to his in KUNG FU HUSTLE. Tsui Hark's pose also looked like Wong Fei Hung's. Since announcing her pregnancy in 2012 and consequently married Paul Wong Koon Chung, Athena Chu Yun has not appeared on the big screen. She recently returned to perform in the Edmond Wong Chi Wun produced and written, new directors Derrick Tao Ting Chun and Mak Ho Bong directed horror film GOO JAT. Chu Yun said, "When I got the script, I had quite a feeling for it. I would be able to play the character from age 20 to 60, which would be very challenging. I hope to be able to bring the audience something fresh."

Chu Yun has not made too many horror films. The first film of her return to the Hong Kong silver screen would actually be one. Chu Yun stated that it was because of the script. She said, "This time the script was very complete, very special, the characters were attracted. Director Tao, Director Bong both might be new directors but were very professional. They understood the script exceptionally well. During the meeting they already had the story board, the scenes, and the actual shoot locations. When I first stepped into the old mansion, it was exactly as described at the meeting. The atmosphere and lighting already gave me chills."

She revealed that her mother suffered from the illness but over the years she still attentively took care of her. Unfortunately yesterday Sister Siu Hung's mother passed away. Yesterday morning, Wai Ying Hung posted the news online. "Dear Mother, the past few years have been truly tough on you. Now you are able to reunite with Papa in Heaven, it is a type of happiness. The Sun Entertainment Culture invested SPL 2 (SAT POR LONG I) was rated one of the American film magazine Screen Scene's best film of 2016. With the SPL 2 team, the Soi Cheang Po Shui, Paco Wong produced, Wilson Yip Wai Shun directed, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Tony Jaa, Wu Yue, Chris Collins starred, newly added Sammo Hung Kam Bo action directed PARADOX (TAM LONG) after three months of production in Bangkok and Pattaya earlier officially completed all action scenes.

In the PARADOX wrap stills, Goo Jai eliminated his cop image of recent years, gave up his guns for knifes as he carried a 16 inch butcher knife with cuts and blood stains on his arm. Goo Jai said, "Thanks to Big Brother Hung Kam Bo, I had a lot of fun fighting this time in PARADOX, which I hope will bring the audience an all new look and feel!" In the film, Goo Jai's 16 year old daughter went missing and he followed the trail to Thailand. With the assistance of Thai Chinese cop Wu Yue he discovered that his daughter's disappearance was related to the mob organ trade.

Wu Yue also carried a butcher knife in the still and traded blows with mobster Chris Collins. Wu Yue sad, "Big Brother Hung Kam Bo's action designs are truly very exciting. He used the unique alleys of Bangkok to design the chases and the fights. The action is ferocious." With the stunt wrap, Wu Yue returned to Beijing in time to welcome the arrival of his 7.26 pound little princess. He said, "When I saw my daughter, happy tears came from my heart."

Aaron Kwok Fu Sing is currently working on THE MONKEY KING 3 in Taiwan and seemingly has already forgotten about how exhausting the shoot was over a year ago and how much pain the special effect make up caused when he heard that THE MONKEY KING 2 was among the over 300 films that would vie for a Best Picture Oscar nomination. "This is already an enormous encouragement for the entire team, proving that putting an effort into making a good movie was the most important! We are now 'together again' to work hard on the production. The team morale has been great. We will be very focused on making the sequel great. I hope that the audience will continue to support us!" "Tang Monk" Feng Shaofeng and "Piggy" Xiao Shenyang also expressed their joy. "Sand Monk" Law Chung Him admitted that being a part of the film was a honor. For the Lunar New Year slot next year, the only real domestic Lunar New Year film YUPPIA FANTASIA 3 (SIU NAM YUN JAU GEI 3 ji NG GA YAU HEI) has already been confirmed for the Lunar New Year's Eve (January 26) release. Playing the little man Leung Foon, Lawrence Cheng Tan Shui will team up with the buxom Larine Tang Yueping and Chrissie Chau Sau Na to celebrate the Year of the Rooster with the audience.

One of the scenes in YUPPIE 3 was shot in the gym. Larine caught the eyes of the "tom boy" Hedwig Tam Sin Yin, who proceeded to be filled with animosity for fellow suitor Babyjohn Choi Hon Yik. One day the trio ran into each other at the gym and the duo vying for Larine fought inside the ring. Larine joined the fray, jumped on a box and prepared to launch herself at Babyjohn, but her chest caught Babyjohn right in the head......

For the film debut, Larine described this scene as "super awkward", "extremely embarrassing" but was also rather pleased with the comedic effect. "I feel BabyJohn s a super professional actor, because when the director yelled cut he immediately pushed me away faster than my own reaction. So I was very at ease when I worked with him on this scene." As for BabyJohn, he felt that it was in the eye of the beholder whether he got lucky. He was only concerned with whether his co-star would be able to jump off the box safely.
