The new Hong Kong director James Hung Ching Ling directed film THE SEVENTH LIE (DAI CHUT FONG YIN) successfully landed in the Mainland, starting tomorrow it will be released in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Jinan and Tianjin. James admitted that he worried the film would not pass the Mainland inspection. He said, "Because the film had many Hong Kong domestic elements, Hui Siu Hung's public bathroom murder scene was pretty cruel. I worried that the film wouldn't pass inspection. I didn't expect that it would be released with little change. I think the Mainland is more tolerant about that."

James was asked if he felt any pressure after the success of Hong Kong Lunar New Year films like FROM VEGAS TO MACAU 2 (DOH SING FUNG WON II) and TRIUMPH IN THE SKIES (CHUNG SEUNG WON SIU). He said, "I am actually very honored. I hope to keep the momentum going."
