On the road, he makes a stop at a repair shop where he comes across a young repairman, Zeng (Jing Boran), who was also kidnapped at the age of four. Robbed of the life he was meant to live, Zeng can only vaguely remember snippets of home – a chain-link bridge, bamboo trees, and his mother’s long braids.

[ HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTVIAL ]
Four loser gangsters devise a scheme that is deviously ingenious (or profoundly stupid): to disguise a minibus as a police vehicle to rob cross-border ruckus that carry human carcasses with money inside. The ploy kicks into action one evening in the New Territories, and the plot thickens with spooky and deadly encounters, including one with an identical police car – also a fake, but manned by killer gangsters who are after the same dead bodies. Fast-paced, feverish, smart-alecky, in-your-face… Two Thumbs Up brims with the street-wise energy that once ignite Hong Kong Cinema.

[ THE FILM CATALOGUE ]
Lucifer and his gangsters dress their minibus to resemble a police vehicle, and pose as policemen for a robbery. Police Officer Chui has sensed “criminal intent”. Without police orders, he investigates these gangsters. At the robbery the gangsters engage in a gunfight against the real criminals, who kill randomly. Lucifer and his men are infuriated. They may wear police costumes and use toy guns, but their passion is real. Sensing their righteous passion, Chui decides to side with the imposters and their 16-passenger EU vehicle. Lucifer and his men re-discover the bond they felt when they used to battle together. Finally, Chui, Lucifer and the gang defeat the criminals, showing Chui that anyone can be a hero, and righteousness resides within us all.
