The Donnie Yen Chi Tan starred IP MAN 3 entered its sixth week in release. Its Hong Kong cumulative box office has reached HK$ 57 million to become the top 2015 Hong Kong film and at the same time moved into 4th place among the highest grossing Hong Kong films. The film opened for ten days in the U.S. and has already reached US$ 1.6 million. At the same time the film was the highest grossing Chinese film in Malaysia box office history.

As for IP 3's 8 Hong Kong Film Award nominations, producers and executive producer Raymond Wong Pak Ming naturally was happy but regretted that Yen Chi Tan was not nominated for Best Actor. "Chi Tan's Master Ip image is well known, as he become the 'irreplaceable Ip Man'." Earlier Chi Tan and boxing champion Mike Tyson spoke with the press in the U.S. They even demonstrated stage fighting. The video received over 20 million views.
