Veteran artist Stephen Tsang Kwong Chin passed away on the 22nd from liver cancer at age 70. His wife confirmed the news. Active in the film industry in the 80s, he participated in films like DOUBLE TROUBLE (DAI SIU BUK LEUNG), WHY ME? (HOR BI YAU NGOR) and THE CRAZY COMPANIES (JUI GAI SUEN YAU) and worked with superstars like Chow Yun Fat, Kara Wai Ying Hung and Chingmy Yau Suk Ching. He mostly played minor characters in the film. He once operated a film developing company and was familiar with many industry insiders.
Ken Low Wai Kwong expressed regret over his friend's passing. "He is absolutely the nicest guy, the best boss in all Hong Kong. He had the respect of 100% of the film industry! He really liked to have a few drinks with friends. Later he moved to Shenzhen and occasionally would come back for dinner." Once a partner in a bar, artist Duen Wai Lun was shocked to hear the news. "The last time I saw him was around the end of last year, at the time he was pretty good, only thinner." Director Jingle Ma Chor Sing have known Tsang Kwong Chin for years and praised his loyalty. Back then if filmmakers owed money to their film developing, he would not mind.
