courtesy of on.ccNick Cheung Ka Fai with the Emperor Film STOOL PIGEON (SIN YUN) was nominated for the Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor, in competition with his co-star Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Jacky Cheung Hok Yau, Chow Yun Fat and Tony Leung Ka Fai. Ting Fung yesterday shopped for clothing to wear to the show with his wife Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi. Ka Fai meanwhile was settling his emotions then considered whether he would wear the award winning white suit again. As for his chances, Ka Fai said, "Every nominee is at least on par. (Being polite before the battle?) It's not like we are getting in a ring to fight! (Have you begun to lose sleep from being nervous?) I have always been a long term sleep loss sufferer."
Nominated for Best Actress with another Emperor film DETECTIVE DEE AND THE MYSTERY OF THE PHANTOM FLAME (DIK YUN KIT ji TUNG TIN DAI GOK), Carina Lau Ka Ling due to many label fashion and jewelry sponsorships for the red carpet was still undecided. Ka Ling perhaps was waiting to find out whether her husband Tony Leung Chiu Wai would accompany her.
