Director Peter Chan Ho Sun along with Sandra Ng Kwan Yu and Vietnamese actor Cung Le two days ago attended the 53rd Annual San Francisco International Film Festival BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS (SUP YUET WAI SING) screening and met with the audience.

Chan Ho Sun told the audience his connection with San Francisco. "In 1991, my first film ALAN AND ERIC: BETWEEN HELLO AND GOODBYE (SEUNG SING GOO SI) was shot here. 4 years later a week after my daughter was born, I brought PERHAPS LOVE (YU GOR OI) to participate in the film festival." Chan Ho Sun said before the screening, "Chinese film's market is Mainland China. Chinese film doesn't have to reverse its priority for the European and American audience or Oscar competition. Storytelling is the most important in a film, stories about people are the most able to touch people. If movies keep chasing big productions and high technology, in the end they will become mere illusions and not benefit China's film industry development at all."
