The summer comedy THE EMERALD AND THE PEARL (FEI CHUI MING JU) recently shot on location in Beijing and Hebei. Yesterday a press conference was held in Beijing. Actors Charlene Choi Chuek Yin, Joey Yung Cho Yi, Raymond Lam Fung, Wong Cho Nam, Steven Cheung Chi Hung, Wong Yau Nam and Lam Suet appeared together for the first time in front of the Mainland media. Other guests included TVB production resource department director Elaine Lok Yi Ling, Emperor executive Ng Yu and film producer Chan Hing Ka.

EMERALD is about the Ah Sa played princess who falls in love with the Lam Fung played general who is protecting her. On the way they run into an accident and become separated. Later they develop romantic disputes with the Joey played fortress chief and the Cho Nam played storyteller. At the press conference, Cho Nam was in costume and introduced the film in vivid details. Then Ah Sa, Lam Fung, Joey and others appeared and fought over the treasure in the film. Joey even had to use a sabre as soon as she appeared with extraordinary comedy abilities. Later she claimed to be a film new comer and luckily received help from Ah Sa. Ah Sa would remind her which angle would be prettier while Lam Fung taught her to face the camera during swordplay. Cho Yi also said that she liked her fortress chief look and had many fight scenes. However she accidentally injured many, and when she fought she looked like she was dancing. Thus she felt she still needed to keep working hard.
