Having just won a World Outstanding Chinese award and a honorary doctorate degree from a certain university in Canada, Andy Lau Tak Wa two nights ago attended a TVB JADE SOLID GOLD taping with Singapore girl duo By2 and THE VOICE new comers. Actually By2 in Taiwan were rumored to be Wa Jai's illegitimate daughters, but Wa Jai was glad to see them and even posed for photos with them. He understood that the report was a misunderstanding and not their issue. He also pointed out that they were already 18 so he hoped that they would continue to work hard on their career.
Reportedly his role in SHAOLIN (SUN SIU LUM JI) turned from a villain to a hero because he shaved his head. Wa Jai felt that the rumor was incredible because bald people could be good or bad. He said, "I am not saying to myself, asking (Benny) Chan Muk Sing would be the best. When I took the role the character has always turned from evil to good, but because later I will have to work on a youth film I asked Chan Muk Sing to skip the head shaving." Earlier a Sichuan uncle of the same name was involved in a trademark dispute with him. Wa Jai expressed that he has already talked about that to the press and online. The other party's family was well aware. He and Boss Hua both understood that this was a normal process, but he could not do nothing about the press' continuing speculation.
