The film IP MAN 2 will open in Korea in May. Earlier the Korean poster was released. Everyone not only focused on Ip Man's practice scenes but also on one of the Seven Little Fortunes, Big Brother Sammo Hung Kam Bo who was just as well known there.

Chi Tan earlier with NEW DRAGON INN and SPL (SAT POR LONG) was very popular in Korea. Last year when he promoted IP MAN in Korea he brought up the long missed "Chinese martial art hero fever" as he received overwhelming support from the general action film fans. Its box office even crushed SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE. On Korea's biggest site over 2,300 viewers gave the film a 9.23 high score and made IP MAN the film with the best word of mouth in release in Korea at the time. A Korean film critic said, "Chinese kung fu's influence in Korea mainly had three generations, Bruce Lee, Wong Fei Hung and now Ip Man. Currently in the storm risen in Korea, Yen Chi Tan is already synonymous with Ip Man."

Chi Tan not only was popular with Korean fans, even Korean stars fell under his real kung fu spell. Earlier Chi Tan ran into Lee Byung-hun in Chengdu at the Global Chinese Chart of Chart and Asia Influence Award. Byung-hun even complimented Chi Tan for both his acting and kung fu. Another Korean star Lee Jung-jin asked the organizer to arrange for a photo opportunity for him when Chi Tan promoted there last year. He even wanted to work with Chi Tan. Chi Tan who recently has been busy with IP MAN 2 promotions earlier spoke with famous Taiwan host Jennifer Shen Chun Hua. He made fun of himself for dressing like a sports anchor. After the interview, the host presented Chi Tan with a limited edition Bruce Lee watch.
