One of this year's Venice Film Festival films in competition, Taiwan director Wei Te-Sheng's new film SEEDIQ BALE two nights ago held its premiere at the Taiwan Presidential Office to passionate response!  The film cost NT$700 million.  During production Wei Te-Sheng ran into financial troubles numerous times and had to keep borrowing money while making the film.  In order to thank all those who helped, the film had an "angel list" that included Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun), Jerry Yan (Yin Sing Yuk) and Vivian Hsu (Tsui Yeuk Suen) at its end credit.  When asked whether Wei Te-Sheng was confident that he would win?  He said, "I don't mind whether I win or not, I only care about the audience reaction."
